I can not stress enough DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! I have yet to receive the remainder of my retainer that is being held in Trust back - its been going on for almost two months now and I will be contacting the Nova Scotia Barrister's to file a complaint. Laura McCarthy has no clue as to what documents her assistant had sent me, and claims I received a copy of a Drafted Separation agreement in which I did not. I did ask her to look into all the emails and documents sent to me so she could see for herself that I did not in fact receive the documentation. I would really like to know how a Lawyer can get away with charging me $1918.00 plus GST to create a separation agreement when I never Received one. Still to this day I am asking for a copy of the email in which they said was sent it to me; Clearly this firm needs to be held accountable. From my understanding I am not the only one writing a complaint about this type of issue with this Firm. I honestly cannot stress enough please take your business elsewhere and save yourself the hassle. I will continue to keep posting my review for as long as it takes Laura McCarty to Look into matters properly and refund me back what is being held in trust. I have requested my refund over five different times via email - which I have yet to see this happen.

I had a positive experience dealing with this law firm. I had a lot of interactions with Natalie and she was incredible to deal with. Natalie would respond to my questions right away, follow up with me in a timely manner and go above and beyond to assist me. She truly cares about helping her clients. STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY
This firm just takes your money and runs. As mentioned in other reviews, I can't get a response or call back at this point and have been begging via voicemail and email for someone to please reach out and deliver the final document that was supposed to have been forwarded with original filings and has to this day just never been done.
This is a situation of complete fraud and have a lawyer now starting proceedings to hopefully help prevent this from happening to others in the future
Such a shame to see people in professional careers take such horrible advantage of people while vulnerable. They should be more than ashamed, and embarrassed at their reputation, customer service and professional conduct - or lack there of

Ms. McCarthy and Melissa were amazing. They helped me with my legal separation and they also helped me negotiate a parenting plan for my children. I’ve never used a family lawyer before and my experience was much better than I expected.

Really bad experience with them , ask me to send money really fast. I didn’t sign any paper didn’t talk with any lawyer after almost 2 weeks … don’t want to refund me , I’m not able to talk with anybody.
So please be careful with them.
