Yesterday, I visited Mariner Chart Shop which is a charming spot in Tobermory. Inside, you’ll find a cozy mix of nautical themed treasures, everything from detailed marine charts, vintage ship‑in‑bottle models, and captain’s hats to local books, t-shirts, fridge magnets, and more . The space feels like stepping into a sailor’s treasure trove, with wooden shelves lined with antiques and marine decor that tells stories of the sea. Whether you’re a boating enthusiast, book lover, or simply looking for a unique souvenir, there’s something special here. It’s well-staffed, easy to browse, and the harbour‑front location adds to the relaxed, maritime atmosphere, perfect for a quick browse after a boat tour or before catching the ferry.

Good and friendly shop staff, large variety of little nick nacks, tshirts, hats, hoodies, maps, artwork, kitchenware like cups and plates.
A nice wee store to walk through and check out, and to get little gifts for your people back home.
I wouldn’t call it cheap, but prices are reasonable for a touristy place.

A nice shop with sea faring products that are geared towards souvenirs for tourists. Here you'll find lots of clothing, sweaters, t-shirts, hats, caps, mugs, oceanic maps (some even historical) and other trinkets.

Being near open waters, oddly they didn't (and would suggest) that they carry towels and have other options.

While a good stop and the staff is nice, the selection is limited - unless you wanted clothing.

Very cool mariner type shop with maps and charts and other nautical themed gifts and things. There are actual maps and charts you can buy, as well as standard gifts like shirts and hats and knickknacks. It was a nice cool respire from a strangely hot day as well.

Lots of great selection and variety for Tobermory souvenirs! We ended up purchasing this really nice tote bag, perfect for shopping around the district. The store was also really organized and clean, definitely worth the look!

Staff are friendly and they have a good selection of items, especially clothes. This is actually the only store that had something that both my husband and I liked. We went back twice after checking out the other stores and decided that this had what we were looking for. Always ask if they have something in stock of your size, if it isn’t out. They have some cute home items and maps of the local lakes.
Also dog friendly! Most stores in the area had a sign up if they were okay with pets/ or no pets inside.

great selection of Tobermory gifts and clothing. prices were reasonable and we found some nice unique things here. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. my thanks to her for making our shopping experience enjoyable and memorable. My wife loves her t-shirt( the last one in the store that the young lady took out of the display for us).

Employee was disrespectful towards me and my friends who wanted to buy hoodies. Instead of respectfully telling us that we need to ask for assistance if we want to try out different hoodie size on the stock rack, he started to tell us in a very disrespectful defensive tone and unpleasant comments even though our intention was to buy those hodies. Did not offer assistance at all or acknowledge our presence until we touch the stock hoodies. Definitely did not enjoy our shopping experience here, we did end up buying 4 hoodies but left disappointed and angry in how we were being treated by unfriendliness of this particular staff.
