Disappointing Experience with Lack of Continuity and Support

I reached out to Spectrum Family Law hoping for reliable and knowledgeable support during a very stressful time. Unfortunately, my experience was marked by inconsistency and miscommunication. Initially, I was connected with one lawyer who asked for my information and then completely disappeared—I didn’t hear back from her for weeks. When I followed up, I was told she was no longer with the firm, and my case was handed over to Kasia.

Kasia was wonderful and gave me some hope that things would be handled properly. Sadly, just a week before my first Family Maintenance meeting, she too left the firm—again without any notice or communication to me. Whether or not that’s standard practice, it felt careless.

I was then given a very new lawyer who had only recently passed the bar. She was unprepared, unaware of the details of my case, and gave me the wrong meeting link for our virtual hearing. We were both late by 15 minutes, and I felt completely unsupported and humiliated. While the firm did apologize, the stress and damage to my confidence were already done.

I also reached out to the managing partner. He too apologized, said he’d help assign someone else to my case, and… nothing ever came of that.

I spent a significant amount of money, and in the end, I feel like I got absolutely nowhere. This was not the standard of care or professionalism I expected, and I would caution others to be wary of the lack of follow-through and accountability.
