I am extremely disappointed with this dental office, and I will no longer be a patient of theirs. I have gone here for the past 5 years or so but the last phone discussion I had with them made me question why I ever even went back to begin with. I called to book an appointment for my younger daughter and requested a specific dentist (Natalie) as my older daughter had her previously and felt comfortable with her. Unfortunately, the receptionist basically said she couldn’t see my daughter (even though I stated it was an emergency) and kept insinuating that I use nitrous on her because they don’t want her to have any bad experiences with dental work…which prompts me to discuss my last experience with their so called “specialized nitrous dentist”. My younger daughter had work done there and was given nitrous by a dentist who apparently specialized in this and specialized in working with children. This visit in particular left her absolutely traumatized, to the point she made it very clear she didn’t want to go to him ever again. He was very condescending towards me and seemed annoyed if I even spoke to her and also seemed annoyed when she started to feel uncomfortable. Let me also mention that they completely covered her eyes with a soft face mask and held the nitrous face mask so hard down on her face she had marks left on her. How is that supposed to make a child feel comfortable and safe? I felt horrible leaving there. I don’t even know why I came back after that visit because that visit alone should have been a sign for me to never come back. So, if you have young children, I do not recommend bringing them for dental work there, because their “specialist” is terrible with children and apparently no one else can do work on them.

I just got back from this dentist office and I have to say that I didn’t want to leave. While having a brief wait for the dentist to come into the room the hygienist engaged in conversation that was both relatable and extremely humorous. I am 99% sure her name was Hannah. If i could leave a review for her specifically it would be 5 stars. overall this place is very welcoming and is filled with amazing people. 100% recommend

I could say so much but I’ll sum it up quickly- severe dental anxiety- hadn’t been to the dentist in 15+ years. This was the last dentist I went to, so I went back. Everyone was so beyond kind and understanding about my anxiety. I was so nervous walking in there but as soon as I walked in and saw the receptionists, my anxiety went away and I felt so comfortable, they were kind and welcoming- Michelle specifically took the time to welcome me and explain what was going to happen on this visit and that helped my anxiety right away! My dental assistant, Marilyn, was so kind and gracious to me, making sure I was comfortable. Dr Loyens is a gem. He doesn’t waste your time or money. He is so kind. My appointment was so quick and so easy. I was so worried about the freezing as I have a severe needle phobia (yes I’m a mess ok?) but I felt the tiniest pain free prick and that was it, didn’t feel anything else.
I don’t know why I had such severe anxiety over it, but you just can’t explain anxiety! I’ll be coming back more often for cleanings so I don’t have a chance to get anxious again.. I so highly recommend this dental office! They don’t try to rip you off, their prices are so far below what dentists closer to me were charging, it was so worth the hour drive for me. Thank you Glencoe Dental Care!

Receptionist Deb and Michelle were warm and welcoming both on the phone and in person. The dental hygienist, Mark, was absolutely fantastic. Very gentle and extremely efficient. Lindsay the dentist was very helpful and explained everything in a way you can understand. Amazing service- this will be my whole families go to dental practice. Highly recommend for anyone, especially people who are on a budget as they are up front and honest about their costs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Loyens for over 25 years. He never oversells treatments or services and genuinely cares about his patients. We have had great years with full benefits and not so great years with out of pocket payments. He has helped to make sure we always get the care we need for ourselves and our 4 kids.
Recently the office offered a free day and I took my niece and nephew. They enjoyed their visit with Mark and will be receiving followup in the new year. The girls at the desk helped with forms for assistance and the kids always love getting goodies from the treasure chest at the end.

Office staff are very friendly, and down-to-earth.
Dr. Loyens is very transparent. Is not aggressive in pushing unnessary dental work.
I feel he is trustworthy, a good well established dentist with reasonable prices.
A comforting and family environment.
