Wow that great company. I recently bought house with my son and recommended Riopelle Group all my friends and family.Dawn and Robert are amazing people and very knowledgeable about the business.They have been there for me when I needed them most. Robert was helpful in suggesting approaches to a particular situation in the process of buying our first home. The flat rate for the house purchase representation was good to have. Some minor communication issues with the office in the closing stage, but Robert himself was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I recently sold my house in Ottawa, and purchased one in Timmins. This influenced my decision to go with the Riopelle Group, as they have offices in both locations, and it would be easier for the offices to communicate. Robert Riopelle handled the Ottawa end and I couldn’t be more pleased. They made the entire process of closing, payments, etc., utterly stress and hassle free, taking a huge weight off my shoulders. if you are reading this… the lesson here is to make sure your parents have a will in place BEFORE they become ill!

There are so many questions I have about the handling of my mother’s will/estate, etc. but I’m expected to pay $350.00 an hour to find those answers!

My mother’s will was extremely vague, and contradictory. So much so that my mother’s wishes are null and void for the grandchildren!

I have no clue what protocol is for lawyers when a family member’s behaviour is nefarious, so again my advice to you is come together as a family and finalize your parents will/estate amicably…

Was given the most basic information when completed mine and my mother’s will together. After my mom passed away only then did the lawyer tell me that we should have done ‘estate planning’ and not just our wills. She could have at the least advised us of that when we were there as we did not know the services were separate. As a result it ended up costing me $40K to close my mother’s affairs when it could have been free if we were properly advised.

My wife and I wanted to have wills in place to ensure that our children are provided for financially in the event of our untimely demise. Marla arranged a telephone conference and then an in-person meeting to finalize our wills and POA.
