J'y ai passé 2 nuits. Je suis chauffeur d'autobus nolisée et je couche régulièrement à l'hôtel et je peux vous recommander ce petit bijou. Le personne est aimable, le stationnement est convenable et c'est au centre du petit village de Lakefield, pas besoin de reprendre le véhicule par la suite. Je déploiera seulement le fait que c'est une petit déjeuner continental, mais je peux me passer d'œuf et de jambon pour quelques jours.

We stayed at the Village Inn to attend a Wedding in the area. Very clean and comfortable. Charming rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast was enough for us with coffee, juices, bottled water, breads, sweets and cereals. The staff are amazing and took care of our needs. This is a great property situate in a beautiful little town. We choose to stay here rather than with the chain hotels in Peterborough because it was in a quiet setting. The rooms are updated, A/C, shower etc. were all in good working order. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast (part of the room charge) is a true continental breakfast. The cranberry orange muffins and cinnamon pastries were really good (fresh and tasty). Good coffee with a selection of teas and hot chocolate were available. There were yoghurts and some fruits available and you could make microwave oatmeal. I would suggest requesting a room at the rear of the property. We were at the front of the building and vehicular noises started with the morning traffic. We would definitely return! It reminded us of visits to Stowe, Vermont.

We booked a one night stay, August 23/24, by phone on July 24/24.|I requested a top floor room and asked if there was a water view available. I was told no water views but was offered a double queen with a balcony view onto the street which I was happy to accept for approx $180.00 a pm. We were unfamiliar with the hotel and were in the area for a family memorial. We checked in and were sent to the top floor only to discover we were in a parking lot view room with no outdoor space. I returned to the front desk to say there was an error with our reservation only to be told there was no mistake, it was my fault as I hadn’t checked our reservation through,y and didn’t catch missing Balcony designation. We would not have accepted the parking lot view room if we had known. I actually had to call back to the Inn the pm the reservation was made to prompt them to send the email confirmation and that was what I was focused on at the time. I was told our $ could be refunded and we could go elsewhere. Considering the sensitive nature of our visit to the area that wasn’t an option especially on a summer Friday afternoon. I feel that our unfamiliarity with area was taken advantage of and we did not appreciate that at all. Also, besides the poor view, the pillows were terrible, A/C very noisy which disrupted sleep, TV extremely small and accessing hot water was very impossible. The room was clean enough and they allowed us to check in early.

Stayed at the Village Inn on the weekend and it was a great little spot! The staff were super friendly, and the reservation/check-in process was handled well. Good parking available, and centrally located in this beautiful little town.

We stayed on the third floor (room 306), and were a bit frustrated with the AC unit. It was an older, window unit with dials to control the settings (no direct temperature setting, just a dial with red/blue gradient). The unit was quite noisy coming on/off, resulting in an interrupted sleep.

The pillows were also very uncomfortable (not much stuffing), which also likely contributed to the poor sleep experience.

The Inn itself is great. Clean overall, great atmosphere, nice continental breakfast offered, and friendly staff.

We will definitely stay here again, but will ask for better pillows, and hope the heat/AC unit in our next room isn't as noisy.

Lakefield is a great, quaint little spot, we will be back again soon!!

We stayed for one night.

Pros:
- The staff was friendly and responsive to our questions
- Great continental breakfast with lots of options
- Cute room with a homey vibe
- Parking included

Cons:
- The room was SO HOT. We peeled all the blankets off and were still sweating.
- Cost was high for the offering

Very friendly and professional staff, always ready to help. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. They specially take care of hygiene and sanitation. Breakfast was reasonable and served in a nice comfortable area. Overall great service and good value for the money.

Wanted to love this place.

Downsides: room wasn’t clean enough (hairs in bathroom, furniture with stuff on it). Breakfast was pretty sad (toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee). Noisy AC in the room.

Upsides: amazing staff were very friendly. Easy parking. Good location in town and close to everything.

Probably wouldn’t stay again for $229/night.
