Absolute lifesavers when it comes to handling crypto taxes!

As a novice investor back in 2018, there was very limited (and often inaccurate) information available online about how to handle crypto taxes and record keeping - so I ended up going a few years without following best practices.

The result was an absolute nightmare of digging through exchange records, haphazard spreadsheets, and P2P transaction data to piece together my tax information for a year during which disposals took place.

After sorting it all out, I still wasn't sure how exactly to process and submit it all - which is where Metrics came in. I scheduled a remote call with Rod for an intro session to explain my situation, and was soon moving through a very smooth online onboarding process.

While the situation was somewhat complicated and handled in part during the height of tax season traffic, Kyle and the rest of the team maintained great communication and made sure everything was filed on time.

I'm sincerely grateful for their help and the consultation they provided along the way - it was a strenuous time to say the least, but thanks to them I feel much more confident in planning for crypto taxes in Canada.

Outstanding service.

Metrics has been responsible for bookkeeping, yearly filings, and general tax advice for my company for about four years.

I've been abroad for much of this time. Apart from briefly meeting Regan before the start of the engagement, all of our work has been done via email or teleconference. Good fit for anyone in need of remote help.

Kyle and Regan are consistently professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Limited interactions with other staff, but have had no problems. Firm as a whole is familiar with standard bookkeeping platforms, I believe they work primarily with clients using Xero.

Would recommend for all domestic corporate accounting (i.e. Canada-only, I don't think they do cross-border stuff). Experience with blockchain, cryptocurrency, and cannabis industries may be a notable positive for some clients.

These guys are a complete joke. They claim to be crypto experts, yet the top guy only has 6 years experience They completely screwed up my crypto tax portfolio, they filed at the last minute and forgot to include expense reports and the amount that I owe was completely false and astronomical. Now I have to deal with lawyers and the CRA to fix their blunders. No accountability in the white collar world. Don't trust these guys!
