this is going to sound like it was written by someone who is directly associated with this firm, however i assure you it is not. That is just how awsome my experience had gone with the legal representation i was privee to have.
i was criminally charged with some heavy $h*t , that as a catagory one offence had the crown generously offering me a 5 year deal. But with DIB , as my lawyer, the outlandish charges i was facing , break n enter, assault ect ect ect. he was able to completely wax all of them in a text book jury appointed trial. Where as even the judge had commented how Dib , my lawyer, executed our defence aswell as himself like a well seasoned highly competant lawyer that he hasn't seen in the likes of a long time.
it should be noted that at the time, i was represented under the LEGAL AID of ALBERTA application, and was still regarded as if i was a top paying client . Most often legal aid reps tend to only strike deals for quick pleas process and dont recieve the same regard and effort that i seen Dib put toward my case. Along with that Dib also was able to identify and sympathize the overall notion that the police seem to have an effort that only afford their efforts to cause me a head ache & clearly dont regard me or my charter rights using any situation to charge me that they can. Which made me feel good to know i wasnt the only one thinking this. I cant say for sure if Dib is going to be the TOM ENGLE or not , but i can certainly say he is well on his way if thats the direction he wants to go.

When I learned about the case, I thought my life was over. I thought it was too much to handle, and went through a very difficult time. I had the pleasure to have Dib as my lawyer. In our first meeting Peter attended as well to listen to my situation and proposed great recommendations. Before I met with them I had met with several law firms (11 in total) and many of them had exorbitant fees for the same service i needed, this firm definitely handles fees that are way more affordable but they have great expertise (believe me after explaining my situation to 11 firms and comparing the answers they give you you start getting a decent idea of your options). My situation was complicated but Dib did a terrific job and got me a result that was more than I expected. I highly recommend this firm and Dib.

I just wanted the world to know how much I appreciated the help of Patrick Edgerton and Peter Northcott in court. Patrick was my primary lawyer and had research the heck out of my case, back then he had just recently passed the bar. He had 60 pages of disclosure to present, during the 2 day trial Peter even showed up in court. Patrick hammered home his disclosure and won my case for me after a full 2 day trial. When I came there, most of their people are out in important court meetings etc. But the receptionist was very friendly and allowed me to wait at the lobby until they come back. Luckily, her other coworker was kind enough to notarize my document so I didn't have to wait for the others.

I just came out of court with a win and justice was served !! I'm still vibrating with happiness. A friend of mine referred me to Patrick when I was very concerned about the matter that was coming against me and over the phone during several conversations he went out of his way to provide me all the advice I would need and provided me options and allowed several conversations throughout his busy schedule without cutting the conversation short . I felt that he genuinely wanted to help me and in no way was I pressured retain his service unlike other dealings with lawyers I've had . My court date was fast approaching and I was in dire need of help and he made arraingemets to send me a student lawyer named Sean to help me . Sean was awesome he did an incredible job and was able to be firm and fair with the procedings. He did not buckle when the duty council was attempting to be slick and play a game and stood his ground and justice was ultimately served!!! I was jumping for joy making noises and bursting with happiness as I walked out of the courtroom with the help of Patrick and Sean . I would highly reccomend them as they are truly good ppl and will send them a lifetime of refferals !! I'm going to celebrate tonight !!!!

Not impressed. Given I did flip out on him I dont think a lawyer should remove himself from a case of spitting on someone with a 60 day jail term. I know our system is pretty messed up however, responding to emails from your clients is probably a good idea. Keeping them in the loop also a good idea. Leaving them to speak to a judge for trial I was unaware of who is more then likely going to throw me in prison is...I dont even think theres a word for that. I got 377 dollars back after killing myself to pay him 3000...I would suggest what the judge and court suggested. Hire duty council, and possibly legal aid and save your money. I'm out 6000 and dealing with it on my own.
